An evening in the Greek Islands : June 2013

Author Nigel McGilchrist was at It’s All Greek for the evening. His wonderful series, ‘McGilchrist’s Greek Islands’, published by Genius Loci, is a comprehensive series of 20 volumes, each focusing on an individual island such as Crete, or a group of smaller ones such as volume 18 on Andros, Tinos and Syros.

Nigel’s lecture, entitled ‘Sea, rocks, vegetation: the origins of western art traditions in the Aegean’ entranced the assembled gathering of Grecophiles and was aptly accompanied by a delicious spread of Greek fare, provided by Nikos from The Life Goddess nearby.
